OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
The Role
You’ll be working as part of a dedicated Multidisciplinary team supporting older people with a range of needs from residential to nursing, palliative care to rehabilitation and dementia care.
Our service is quite unique and probably something you’ve not come across before. You will be able use your Occupational Therapy skills to support our Residents to participate in meaningful activities and occupations with a relationship-centred approach.
What will your typical day involve?
Providing a wide variety of therapeutic treatment in both a health and general wellbeing capacity.
Carrying out personal and environmental assessments for new admissions and internal transfers.
Carrying out seating assessments and providing postural adjustments for wheelchairs and static chairs.
Documenting and liaising with appropriate teams to keep advice and plans up to date.
Taking an active role in the therapy team/department. This includes team meetings, joined up working, contributions towards a safe, clean, effective working environment.
Holding multi-disciplinary meetings and liaise with relatives and external agencies as necessary.
