Nightingale Hammerson is an independent charity and a leading specialist in the care of older people. We have served the Jewish community since 1840.
We know the importance and emotion that is placed on making a decision to move to a Care Home, either for yourself or for the one you love.
Nightingale Hammerson comprises two Care Homes, Nightingale House in Clapham and Hammerson House, Wohl Campus, in Hampstead. Our Homes are welcoming, warm and comfortable but they are also a hive of activity and enjoyment. The care we offer is exceptional and our individually tailored approach to care offers a home-from-home for Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative Care.
Together, our Homes care for over 250 Residents. Half of our Residents are self-funding and the remaining costs are covered by local authorities, family support or through our significant fundraising.
Nightingale House is the only Care Home for the Jewish community rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC (2022). We are delighted that our newly opened home, Hammerson House, Wohl Campus, has been awarded the rating of ‘Good’ in all categories. Notably, CQC commented that we have ‘the seeds to reach ‘Outstanding’ at our next inspection’.
At the heart of our approach is a warm, respectful relationship between our staff and every single resident. It’s what we mean by ‘relationship-centred care’, whereby we acknowledge the individual wishes, characters and histories of everyone we look after, their families and the care team involved with each person’s individual care.
Hammerson House, opened in May 2021 and is a truly innovative and beautiful home and an inspiring place to work.
It is a very exciting time to be joining the team at Nightingale Hammerson.
Nightingale Hammerson employs over 350 team members.
Our teams of healthcare professionals, nurses, dementia nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, engagement specialists, maintenance, housekeeping, porters and administration staff are all part of one team. Each team member works together to support the delivery of best care for each of our residents.
We are a hugely diverse charity and each team member is supported to develop their professional credentials and their personal well-being. We know our staff make a real difference and always seek to acknowledge their achievements.
