Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others, making a positive impact in their lives. Experience in home care or care homes is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to any specific dietary needs outlined in care plans.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the relevant healthcare professionals.
Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring safe transportation.
Maintain a clean and organised environment for clients, promoting hygiene and safety standards.

Requirements

Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively with the team.
A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
