Principal Responsibilities
Client and Carer Communication

  • Act as the key point of contact between clients and professional carers.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to queries or concerns raised by clients or carers.
  • Liaise with external professionals and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Support for the Registered Care Manager

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the branch and provide support to other branches when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Care Manager to ensure the smooth running of all care services.

Personnel Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files for all carers.
  • Organise and carry out regular supervision and performance reviews for carers.
  • Assist with the coordination and scheduling of care visits.

Client Care and Planning

  • Attend client reviews and update care plans as needed.
  • Participate in new client assessments and prepare initial care plans.
  • Ensure client information is accurately recorded and maintained both digitally (e.g. Care Planning App) and in office files.

Meetings and Training

  • Organise and participate in regular staff meetings and management discussions.
  • Attend relevant training courses to enhance skills and knowledge in line with the role.

Quality Assurance

  • Support quality assurance and auditing processes.
  • Investigate and resolve any concerns, ensuring communication is appropriately logged and documented.

Recruitment and Selection

  • Assist the Registered Care Manager in interviewing and selecting new care staff.

On-Call Responsibilities

  • Be part of the on-call rota to provide support outside of standard working hours.

General Duties

  • Cover emergency care calls when necessary.
  • Undertake any other duties that fall within the scope and competence of the role as required.

Person Specification 

  • Experience in a similar care management or supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including participation in on-call duties
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (if required for the role)
