Join Our Housing Support Team in Largs, Ayrshire – Make a Real Difference Every Day!

We’re looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Female Support Practitioner* to join our friendly 24-hour Housing Support service, providing dedicated, one-to-one support for a lady living in her own home. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to help someone live life to the fullest, supporting her independence, well-being, and personal growth.

This lovely lady has a zest for life and enjoys:

  • Hitting the local disco for a dance
  • Catching up with friends over lunch or coffee
  • Browsing the shops and exploring days out
  • Watching the ferry come and go
  • Planning exciting holidays

You’ll be right there with her—encouraging, supporting, and making sure she can enjoy the things that matter most to her.

What your role will involve:

  • Building a trusting, supportive relationship
  • Helping with daily living tasks such as personal care, housework, meal preparation, and medication
  • Working alongside her family and other professionals to ensure she gets the very best support
  • Promoting her independence and individuality in line with her Support Plan
  • Keeping accurate daily records and communicating effectively with colleagues and family

Why join Sense Scotland?
At Sense Scotland, we believe life is about more than just care—it’s about joy, connection, and shared experiences. We’ll make sure you feel just as supported as the people you work with, offering:

  • Full training and ongoing development
  • A warm, collaborative team that values creativity, empathy, and fresh ideas
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and career

Working Hours

Our Largs Housing Support Service provides support 365 days a year, and we operate flexibly as a team on a rota basis. Shift hours are from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, with additional support occasionally required throughout the year for respite care.

If you’re caring, enthusiastic, and ready to make every day meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.

*Sometimes the people we support need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is an occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
