About dimensions
At Dimensions, who you are makes all the difference. You’ll support autistic people and adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives – and be supported to live well and work well yourself. As a Disability Confident Leader and Mindful Employer, we offer wellbeing resources, flexible working, and career growth through Aspire, giving you everything you need to thrive – and be you.
About the role
- Female Support Worker
- Full time and part time contracts considered.
- Rochford, SS4
We are recruiting female Support Workers to join our friendly team in Stambridge, Rochford, supporting three women who each live independently within their own flats in one building. We can offer full-time or part-time opportunities, with no waking nights or sleep-ins required.
You will work across all three flats as part of your induction and ongoing rota, and once established, you will be gradually matched to one person you will support more regularly, while still remaining flexible to work across the home when needed.
Each woman has her own interests, routines, and support needs. Some days are busy and active, others are quieter and structured, and your support will be person-centred to suit each individual. The home supports individuals who:
- Enjoy being out and about—seafront trips, shopping, walking, cafés, meals out and visiting places of interest.
- Love creative hobbies such as writing, art, reading, social media, and crafts.
- Like going to the gym, attending day centres, pottery sessions, college groups, or social clubs.
- Enjoy nightlife such as an inclusive weekly nightclub event.
- Like spending time with animals (one woman has a family dog who may stay overnight).
This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same, involving person-centred support across all three flats, assisting with cooking, meal preparation and healthy living and reassurance with personal care, maintaining accurate records and safeguarding logs, and building warm, respectful and trusting relationships.
Shift patterns include 7am–2:30pm and 2:30pm–10pm, working on a 4-week rolling rota, with a balanced weekend pattern. There are no sleep-ins or waking nights.
