Finance Officer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join a Hospice charity in Cambridgeshire. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week.

Location: Cambridge - options for hybrid working once an initial training and induction period has been completed
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,530 - £29,114 per annum - Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and will be pro-rata’d for part time posts. As a Charity with limited funds, it is usual practice for new starters to commence on the minimum of the salary band for the role. Exceptionally, and only for candidates demonstrating significant strengths relevant to the role, we may be able to negotiate on this.

About the Role
The Finance Officer will work closely with the Finance Accounting Manager and other members of the Finance team and contribute to the effective running of the department. The post-holder will complete tasks such as banking of cash and cheques, bank reconciliation, purchase ledger, payment runs, supporting the Management Accountant with month end transactions and general duties.
About You
Successful applicants will have previous experience working within a similar Finance role, you will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
- Experience in using a standard accountancy package
- Experience in double-entry accounting
- Self-motivated and ability to complete tasks with minimum supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Ability to Problem Solve
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good Excel and Office skills
Although not essential, being AAT qualified/part-qualified would be desirable.
