You'll also assist in running group sessions and one-on-one meetings as instructed by the Occupational Therapist, in addition to handling regular administrative tasks.
Here are some of the key things you'll be responsible for:
- Support patients to access the local community for both recreational and therapeutic needs
- Be involved in patient meetings addressing concerns and compliments of patients
- Support with the facilitation of a carers forum and ensuring Occupational Therapy approaches are evidence based for the setting
- Ensure records/documentation are maintained to required standard and report accurately
- Support patients with leave planning and making appropriate recreational choices to support health and wellbeing
- Liaise with the Nursing team regarding any day to day issues
- To review treatment plans and patient progress
- To work flexibly in terms of hours, to meet clinical needs of the unit
- Support in holding skills development groups and additional groups as required
- Liaise with community teams and referring agents as required
- Support with documentation on CPA reports
- Adapt to the service needs as required whilst meeting the individual needs and goal setting of the patients
