Development Phase

  • Establish and develop the care agency’s business model, evaluating both membership and traditional funding structures.
  • Lead the completion of CQC registration and become the Registered Manager.
  • Develop and execute recruitment and marketing plans.
  • Set up digital systems, including a website, referral pathways, and electronic rostering.

Setup and Delivery Phase

  • Achieve business plan income targets, manage expenditure budgets, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Promote the service through outreach initiatives, private GPs, and private hospitals.
  • Ensure a balanced client base to meet financial and growth targets.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team, ensuring quality assurance and compliance.
  • Share on-call duties and provide care coverage during emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and Data Protection Act (DPA) standards.
  • Conduct care assessments, develop and review care plans, and maintain effective communication with clients, relatives, and healthcare professionals.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience managing domiciliary care services.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Highly organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing income targets and budgets.
  • Deep understanding of CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Proficiency with electronic care records and digital care systems.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience).
  • Full driving license and own transport.
