We’re looking for Bank / Relief Support Workers to join our welcoming team in Telford, supporting 14 individuals who live independently in their own apartments within a vibrant supported living setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you want flexibility, meaningful work, and the chance to support people to live life their way.
Who You Will Be SupportingThe people you’ll support are aged between 18 and their mid-50s and have a variety of needs, including learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions.
They are largely independent and do not currently require personal care or moving and handling support. Your role will focus on prompting, encouragement and supportive coaching to help them maintain independence.
Their interests include:
- Shopping trips and meals out
- Cinema nights and bingo
- Days out to the seaside, theme parks and the zoo
- Walking and going to the gym
- Family time, parties and social events
Every shift brings something different — and plenty of opportunities to make a positive impact.
Your RoleAs a Bank / Relief Support Worker, you will support individuals with:
- Meal planning and basic cooking
- Maintaining their tenancy
- Cleaning, laundry and general housekeeping
- Budgeting and managing finances
- Shopping and attending appointments
- Online safety and digital support
- Building confidence and maintaining relationships
This is a role where you’ll help people build the skills they need to lead independent, fulfilling lives.
Shift PatternsAs a Bank Support Worker, you will have the flexibility to pick up shifts based on your availability.
Typical shifts include:
- Early shifts: 7:30am – 3:00pm
- Late shifts: 3:00pm – 10:30pm
- Alternate weekend availability preferred
There are no sleep-in shifts required for this service.
Rotas are planned in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.
What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking Support Workers who are:
- Confident, enthusiastic and proactive
- Patient, empathetic and person-centred
- Good team players who can also work independently
- Flexible and able to support a wide range of needs
- Comfortable supporting people who live independently
- Non-drivers welcome (no mobility vehicles in use)
Experience is helpful, but absolutely not essential — full training is provided.
