Our care team look after children with social, emotional and mental health challenges that haven't been able to thrive in multiple occupancy homes through presenting emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The Opportunity

On a day-to-day basis you'll work in a team of 3 delivering an innovate care plan that is designed with the young persons best interest and optimal outcome at heart.

The company prides themselves on providing industry leading benefit packages and rates of pay. A typical work week will be 4 days on, 3 days off, so you can start looking forward to longer weekends. Every member of the care team is guaranteed their birthday off work. When you're on shift the fridge will be fully stocked with ingredients, we encourage staff to cook and eat with young people. You will receive a blue light card which entitles you to up to 20% discount at hundreds of retailers like ASOS, BooHoo and many more. Alongside this you will receive a generous pension contribution, on going professional development, opportunity for promotion and dependant on your experience between £13.00 and £14.00 per hour!

Duties & Expectations

Provide a welcoming and nurturing environment for young people to thrive.
Help the young person grow and develop socially and emotionally.
Understand the individual history, trauma, and behaviours of the young person
Share, own and deliver the companies values at all times.
Understand and encompass OFSTED's 9 Quality Standards.
Make decisions in the best interest of the young person you look after.
Challenge decisions you do not agree with in a structured and polite manner
Act as a thought leader, support and supervise staff as a shift leader.
Regularly assess risks and implement control measures accordingly.
Monitor behaviour and update care / management plans accordingly.
Audit record keeping to ensure accuracy and identify areas of development.
Administer medication and liase with relevant health professionals.
Hold junior staff accountable to key performance indicators.
Create opportunity, diversity and experiences for the young person you care for.

Requirements / Eligibility

A positive mindset and outlook on life
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
a high / proficient level of IT literacy
a minimum of 18 months experience in residential children's care.
Be fit, healthy and physically able to complete manual handling tasks
A full UK drivers license / International driving permit
A willingness to personally grow, learn, develop and progress.
Available to work a mix of Day and Night shifts
Able to be part of companies on call rota.
