Senior Manager – Reach Out and Community Services (Part-time)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to oversee the management of the outreach and community services of a Mental Health & Wellbeing Charity in London.

Position: Senior Manager – Reach Out and Community Services

Location: Northwest London

Salary: £38,991 (pro rata £31,192)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

About the role:

As Senior Manager, you will be working for a London-based charity that supports people who are facing challenging situations that affect their mental health and wellbeing.

You will have responsibility for overseeing the charities service/project managers and to lead on the management and further development of specified services. Experience of working in community partnerships and/or community development work essential.

About you:

We are seeking an experienced manager with the following skills and experience:

  • Recruiting, inducting, supervising, supporting, coaching and appraising the performance of project managers in specified services.
  • Ensuring that operational policies, procedures, plans and project designs are properly formulated and operated for each of the services.
  • Ensuring cost effectiveness and financial control, including ongoing financial performance monitoring, budgeting, costing and the control of income and expenditure.
  • Ensuring that services are appropriately and effectively marketed.
  • Ensuring that proper systems are established and operated to monitor and evaluate the services.
  • Being responsible for oversight of the service delivery environment, including Health and Safety and other statutory duties.
  • Attend, chair and/or convene supervisions, organisational meetings, cross team working groups and external meetings as required.
  • Prepare reports for the committee on all areas of responsibility and attend committee meetings to present them where required.
  • You must be genuinely interested in the welfare of each individual service user of the charity and possess experience, expertise, and empathy regarding mental health issues.
