Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Oversee Daily Operations
Support the Team Leader in managing the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
Supervise and Develop the Team
Provide guidance and oversight to support workers, ensuring they are trained and confident in complex care areas such as epilepsy management, PEG feeding, mobility needs, and communication support.
Promote Safety and Governance
Monitor and maintain safe working practices, safeguarding protocols, DoLS compliance, health and safety checks, and support with accurate record-keeping using systems like Nourish.
Coordinate with Multi-Agency Partners
Liaise effectively with health professionals (e.g., epilepsy nurses, district nurses), social workers, and families to ensure continuity of care and best outcomes for the people we support.
Support Activities and Person-Centred Planning
Encourage meaningful activity, community engagement, and co-production of personalised support plans while promoting independence and dignity.
About You:
Experienced and Qualified
You have experience in social care (preferably LD and MH) and hold or are working towards a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
Organised and Proactive
You are confident managing shift rotas, supporting performance, handling risks, and communicating changes to the wider team.
Compassionate Leader
You lead by example with kindness and respect, empowering your team to provide outstanding care.
Skilled Communicator
You can communicate sensitively with people we support, families, and professionals, and can document and escalate concerns clearly.
Driver with Flexibility
You have a clean driving licence and are able to travel across locations when needed, offering flexibility and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
