Location: Wendreth Court, March, Cambridgeshire
Contract Type: Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Wendreth Court is Glenholme Healthcare’s newly opened 54-bed care home located in March, Cambridgeshire. We offer high-quality residential, nursing, and dementia care, and we are now looking for a dedicated Site Maintenance Person to help ensure the home remains safe, well-maintained, and functional for both our residents and team.

Your Role as Site Maintenance Person

As a Maintenance Person at Glenholme, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the home, with responsibilities including:

  • Carrying out regular compliance checks such as fire alarms, emergency lighting, water testing, etc.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, decorating, and carpentry
  • Maintaining the external appearance of the home, including landscaping and garden areas
  • Managing stock and ensuring maintenance and safety records are fully up to date
  • Working closely with the Estates Manager and Home Manager on ongoing and ad-hoc maintenance requirements
  • Providing occasional support to other Glenholme sites in the area
  • Being available on-call to deal with any out-of-hours maintenance emergencies

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • Based at Wendreth Court in March, with occasional travel to other sites for maintenance-related tasks
  • Flexibility required to support additional duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or building trades role (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
  • Strong practical skills and ability to carry out a wide range of repairs
  • A responsible and safety-conscious approach, with strong attention to detail
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or City & Guilds are highly desirable
  • Health and Safety training or certifications such as NEBOSH or CITB are an advantage
