What does this Support Worker job involve?

Hours of Work:20-28 hrs/week - Day: 09:00 - 17:00, Night: 17:00 - 09:00 (Sleep In from 23:00 - 09:00) 

  • Aid in assessing and executing individual Support Plans, performing directed tasks to enhance well-being and dignity
  • Provide practical and responsive assistance for daily living: budgeting, shopping, meal prep, meds observation, etc.
  • Monitor and promptly report any physical, mental, or emotional concerns to senior staff
  • Collaborate within the mental health support team, attending meetings as required
  • Maintain stock levels, including pharmaceuticals; administer and document medication as prescribed
  • Uphold cleanliness and infection control protocols
  • Foster professional relationships with service users, colleagues, and visitors
  • Contribute to creating an environment that fulfils service users' needs and promotes quality care

  • Preferred minimum of 9 months' experience in health and social care; training provided on the job if needed.

  • Demonstrates creativity and innovation in providing support.
  • Familiarity with mental health concerns through prior experience.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
