Accedo Care - Louis Court is looking for a Support Worker. Accedo Care provide individual supported living support packages to adults with learning disabilities, mental health, or physical disabilities in their own homes within the local community. We're looking for reliable, flexible and caring Support Workers to join our team in Sawbridgeworth (Hertfordshire), where you will provide various support to our service users.

What does this Support Worker job involve?

Hours of Work:40 Hours Per Week - Various shifts available
 

• To support each individual within their home and in the wider community.
• To respond to the service users individual needs and aspirations, assisting them to maximise their independence and respond to all opportunities presented to them during their daily life.
• To support and assist with all aspects of daily living including personal care and environment management.
• To support the service user with leisure, recreational, educational and employment based activities and encourage them to become a valued and active member of their local community.
• To work with other staff in a manner that promotes team-building, within the scope of company policies.

We are looking for someone that:

• Is honest and reliable, has good observation and listening skills and is adept at receiving constructive feedback. 
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, including a command of the English language.
• Has the ability in challenging situations to manage behaviours, remain calm, and follow instructions effectively.  
• That has the commitment to the philosophy of care in the community that is evident through their genuine understanding and empathy for people.
• Is able to maintain a positive and professional manner.
• Will need to be available for the occasional NIGHT shift on a rota basis, along with some weekend work.
