Pay Rate: £12.31 Per Hour
Hours: Part Time / 24 Hours Per Week

Who Will You Be Supporting?
You will be supporting a gentleman in his 60s with learning disabilities and autism. He requires 1:1 support at all times and 2:1 support in the community and for personal care. He enjoys:
- Going Out: Loves visiting the pub and socializing.
- Football: A big fan of West Bromwich Albion, hoping to attend a live match.
- Music: Enjoys 80s music.
- Quiet Time: Prefers a quiet environment and loves his blanket.
- Sweet Treats: Has a sweet tooth and loves cakes and biscuits.
- Sensory Rooms: Enjoys spending time in sensory rooms.
- Recovery: Currently recovering from an injury with the goal of returning to full mobility.
What Will You Be Doing?
Each day will be different, but you will be supporting with:
- Personal Care: Providing assistance with personal care tasks, including the use of hoists.
- Community Support: Offering 2:1 support when out in the community.
- Mobility Assistance: Supporting him as he uses a wheelchair and works towards full mobility.
- Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and supporting him with his dietary needs.
- Medication Administration: Ensuring he receives his medication as prescribed.
- Communication: Providing clear and confident communication, following his communication passport.
- Engagement: Encouraging participation in activities he enjoys, such as football, music, snooker, and shopping.
We are looking for someone who is strong-willed, patient, and empathetic. To be a great match you should be:
- Experienced with Autism: Comfortable working with individuals with autism.
- Strong Communicator: Able to provide clear and confident communication.
- Positive and Resilient: Capable of seeing the positives and coping in a loud environment.
- Active and Confident: Confident in learning how to support with manual handling.
Shift Patterns:
- Flexible Across the Week: Weekdays 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (potential to finish early)
- Sometimes shifts can be subject to change to cover for leave.
Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance.
