You’ll be supporting two brothers, Paul and John, who live together with their sister Christine – and her two dogs!
If you like dogs, that’s great, but it’s not a must.

About Paul:
Paul is a happy, bubbly man who loves to laugh. Sometimes he finds talking difficult, but he understands well and uses gestures to communicate. He enjoys helping around the house and likes to be involved as much as possible.

About John:
John is a fun, cheeky guy who also loves a laugh. He enjoys chatting but also likes quiet time watching TV or listening to the radio.

Both brothers want to be as independent as possible. You’ll help them with everyday tasks and encourage them to learn new skills while respecting their choices.

What will I be doing?

Encouraging and supporting them with daily tasks and personal care
Helping John when he gets tired standing for long periods (he uses a wheelchair when going out)
Most days, Paul goes to a local day service. On Wednesdays and Fridays, he stays home, so two staff will be on shift to give 1:1 support. On these days, you’ll take both brothers out in Paul’s car for things they enjoy, like going to the cinema or visiting cafés

You must have a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for this role.

Shifts Patterns:

Day Shifts: Monday - Friday 08:00AM until 18:00PM, Saturday and Sunday 10:00AM until 18:00PM
This includes a combination of weekdays and weekends.
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance - something we're very passionate about!
