About Dimensions
At Dimensions, you can bring your whole self to work – and be celebrated for it. Guided by respect and strengthened by partnership, you’ll belong to a community that values difference, listens deeply, and acts with kindness. With integrity at the heart of what we do, and the right tools, adjustments, and opportunities, you’ll have everything you need to thrive. Together, we’ll keep building a workplace where everyone feels seen, supported, and truly included. Because when you can be you, we can make an even greater difference – together.
About the role
We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our team in East Finchley, London, working 22.5 hours per week at £13.78 per hour. A UK manual driving licence is essential.
You’ll support a young man in his 20s who has a learning disability and thrives on consistent, compassionate support. He communicates verbally on his own terms and enjoys having people around, even if he prefers quiet engagement. He loves being out in the car every day, visiting parks, museums, zoos, and other favourite places. At home, he prefers a calm environment and his own space.
Your role will include supporting him 1:1 at home and 2:1 when out and about in his local town, helping with personal care (some tasks he does independently), meal preparation, food shopping, cooking, and monitoring his environment to reduce risk. You’ll follow a well-managed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan and receive full Proact-SCIP training. Experience is helpful but not essential—what matters most is your attitude.
About you
You’ll be patient, reliable, and able to stay calm under pressure. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured plans are essential. You’ll need a UK manual driving licence and a willingness to work flexibly. If you share our values and want to make a real difference, this role is for you.
