About the People We Support
**Kevin** - is in his late 30s, and he is looking for strong, patient, confident support workers who can show good initiative and have a good sense of humour but can also be calm and supportive in time of behaviours of distress.
He is a very polite gentleman, and he enjoys going out and about in his car and when he can, head out on the odd walk. He has a passion for cooking and has a particular interest in Bangladeshi and Jewish foods and culture. When he is not out and about, he likes to watch a good movie!
**Ray** - is in his 40s: He communicates without words and enjoys regular outings. He enjoys watching movies, loves swimming, and when he goes staff must be willing to go in the pool with him. He has an interest in visiting museums and taking long walks in the park. He has his own vehicle and enjoys three drives a day.
They have learning disabilities and autism. Your role will include providing emotional reassurance during moments of distress, with full positive behaviour support training provided. A full UK driving licence for manual vehicles is essential for this role. If you're a positive, outgoing person, you'll be a wonderful match for our team!
We are looking for experienced support workers who have worked within a forensic setting as well as autism, mental health and learning disabilities
What will I be doing?
You will be supporting people to live their lives how they choose and to achieve their personal goals.
Support can include varying degrees of personal care, some manual handling requirements, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
You will also need to provide emotional reassurance when experiencing behaviours of distress – full positive behaviour support training is provided but previous experience is essential.
Shift Patterns:
Long Day Sleep-In Shifts: 9am – 9am the following day
Day Shifts: 9am - 6pm
Sleep-Ins: 10pm – 8am (Paid to Sleep)
