In addition to the following functions, all employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required from time to time: 

-To maintain care skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may, from time to time, be required to maintain excellent care practice.

-To provide care in accordance with best practice, according to Honor Care Limited’s policies and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager, and within the financial plans agreed from time to time.

-To deliver care to service users in line with their risk assessment and support plan whilst reporting any changes or concerns to the Manager or other nominated staff.

Location: *Birmingham and neighbouring boroughs*

The following is not in any order of priority)
1. To assist service users who needs help with getting in and out of bed.
2. Assist in the care of service users through the delivery of individual planned care programmes.
3. Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users and staff.
4. Assist with personal care tasks (washing/bathing/showering, dressing/shaving, oral hygiene, hair care).
5. To assist service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence.
6. Prompt and assist with medication, assist with repeat prescriptions when necessary.
7. Work in a way that prevent infection (including Covid 19) from spreading in line with the company’s policy and government guideline
8. To make and change beds, tidy rooms, do light cleaning and empty commodes.
9. Assist to prepare and make meals in accordance with services users likes and dislikes.
10. General cleaning duties, to include light housework.
11. Shopping and assistance in the preparation of shopping lists.
12. To help service user to collect benefits and pay bills on time.
13. To launder service users clothing and bed clothes.
14. To write a report on each visit.
15. To complete relevant forms.
16. Report accidents and incidents to the senior member of staff on duty.
17. To encourage the service user to remain as independent as possible.
18. To report to the Care Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of the service user
19. To report any concerns of abuse and bad practices.
