About the Role
As an Experienced Social Worker, you will:
Undertake complex assessments and develop support plans to help individuals live independently.
Manage a varied caseload, including safeguarding adults and conducting Section 42 enquiries.
Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues, mentor newly qualified social workers, and supervise junior staff.
Work collaboratively with health professionals, voluntary organisations, and other partners.
Prepare high-quality reports for court hearings and represent the council when required.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in adult social care.
Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work flexibly and occasionally outside standard hours.
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification (e.g., Practice Educator, Best Interests Assessor).
Experience in formal supervision and appraisal.
Additional Information
Enhanced DBS check required.
Driving licence and access to a vehicle may be necessary.
