Hospital Director/Service Director

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hospital Director / Service Director to join Schoen Clinic York, a specialist hospital caring for adults with eating disorders and individuals with complex dementia.

The Role

As our Hospital Director / Service Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading, developing, and growing our service. You will provide strategic direction, set a clear vision for the senior management team, and ensure the delivery of outstanding care in a safe, high-quality clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence.

·       Oversee financial and operational performance to ensure sustainable growth.

·       Ensure regulatory compliance, acting as the Registered Manager on site.

·       Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.

·       Promote a positive and inclusive working environment, ensuring the wellbeing of service users, colleagues, and visitors.

What We’re Looking For:

·       A registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC) with a degree or equivalent experience (postgraduate qualifications desirable).

·       Proven experience as a Hospital Director / Service Director in a healthcare or commercial setting.

·       Strong financial acumen, including budget planning and risk management.

·       A track record of successfully leading change and driving organisational growth.

·       Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and HR management skills.

As the Registered Manager, you must meet the Fit and Proper Person requirements under Regulation 5 of the Health and Social Care Act. Annual checks will be conducted to ensure continued suitability for this role.
