Our client is a forward-thinking, values-driven organisation based in Croydon, dedicated to providing safe, nurturing, and person-centred Supported Living services for young people aged 16–18. Their mission is to empower vulnerable young people with the life skills, confidence, and resilience to thrive independently.
As they continue to grow, they are now seeking a Registered Manager to lead their Croydon-based service through Ofsted registration and beyond ensuring regulatory excellence, quality care, and impactful outcomes for every young person.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance
• Become the Ofsted Registered Manager, leading registration and maintaining full compliance with the SCCIF framework for supported accommodation.
• Lead successful Ofsted inspections and embed a culture of excellence across the service.
• Ensure robust policies, procedures, and safeguarding measures are in place and fully aligned with national guidance.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a passionate team to deliver consistently high standards of care and support.
• Oversee safer recruitment, staff training, appraisals, and performance reviews.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safeguarding, and young-person-focused support
Service Delivery
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring all young people receive tailored, outcome-driven support.
• Build strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and professional networks.
• Monitor support plans and ensure clear pathway planning for independence and progression.
Quality Assurance & Improvement
• Conduct regular audits, incident reviews, and service evaluations.
• Address complaints and safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure full GDPR compliance.
About You – Person Specification:
• Proven management experience in a children’s or young people’s service.
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted regulatory frameworks for supported accommodation or children’s homes.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Strong safeguarding and risk management expertise.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Experience working with 16–18-year-olds in supported or semi-independent settings.
• Awareness of the needs of care leavers, young asylum seekers, and those transitioning out of care.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)
