Role: Senior Residential Care Worker
Location: Hoddesdon in Essex
Salary: £30,000 to £33,000
Sleeps: £50.00 per sleep additional to the above salary, if you are required to assist with shifts in the home (sleep enhancement is in planning stages)

About You
You will have experience of working in a Residential Children's Home children who have emotional, behavioural or learning difficulties. You will be committed to developing relationships with children that enable them to trust adults to meet their needs.
We will need you to
Work shift patterns that reflect the needs of children which will include day shifts, sleep shifts, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
Be available to children and be sensitive to their feelings
Offer acceptance to build their self-esteem.
Enable and support young people to feel valued.
Help our children feel that they belong.
Implement policies, procedures, and practices necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of our children.
Support the management of the home to ensure that our Children are kept safe and their records are kept up to date.
Supervise team members and foster a supportive and collaborative environment in the home.
Have a Driving Licence

You should have a passion for working with Children in a residential setting and have prior experience working in accordance with therapeutic models of care, including Lovin Care model.
You should be capable of taking over the overall responsibility for running the home in the absence of the Manager, and help with rota's, hours, homes policies and procedures. You should be confident to lead a team of Residential Care Workers and plan and implement activities along with the general tasks in the home.
Supervise Children in a Safe and Nurturing Environment
Ensure the safeguarding of our Children is a priority at all times
Provide a stimulating and educational environment for our Children
Communicate with Parents and Social Workers and outside agencies to support and promote the well being of our Children
