ABOUT THE ROLE

Reports to: Team Leader

Hours of work: full-time, part-time, or relief (bank) options available. We will work with you to build a rota that fits with both your availability and the needs of the people we support

Salary:  Full-time and part-time roles: £12.21 per hour. Relief role: £13.68 (including rolled-up holiday pay), plus sleepover/waking watch allowance

Place of work: L'Arche Preston

Contract type: Permanent - full-time, part-time, relief

Notes: 

• This position does not offer sponsorship and is best suited for candidates already located in and surrounding the Preston area.
• A full driving license is desirable for some shifts, but not essential.

You don’t necessarily need experience – just compassion, initiative and a willingness to learn. We are a supportive employer and will provide full training and guidance.

Main purpose of the role

As a Care and Support Worker you will support 13 people with learning disabilities support adults with learning disabilities to live with independence and take part in every day life – empowering each person to live a life of their choosing. This is a rewarding role that makes a real difference and deepens our appreciation for life.
