ABOUT THE ROLE

 Hours of work: 15 to 30 hours per week

Salary: Start rate of £12.21 per hour, rising after 12 months and a successful probation period

Place of work: L'Arche Bognor Regis 

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time

Closing date: Sunday, 1st of February at midnight

This position does not offer sponsorship and is best suited for candidates already located in the Bognor Regis area.

Main purpose of the role:

• To support members of our community who have learning disabilities, to go about their daily lives. This involves building relationships and sharing the joys and challenges of daily life. 
• This role will include personal care and administration of medication. 
• In this role, you will work alongside core members, volunteers and other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the house, the welfare of the core members and integrate as part of the wider community.
• You will support people with any spiritual choices they make; engage in activities with them and support them both inside and outside of their home environment, and you may be asked to accompany people to places of worship, events or to appointments. 

The responsibilities will be split:

• 80% Supporting people with learning disabilities with day to day life;
• 10% Using a digital system to record what you do during your shift;
• 10% Learning & Development and regular meetings with your line manager;
