House Leader/Manager, L’Arche Bognor Regis
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Registered Manager, L’Arche Bognor Regis
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (normally Monday-Friday, including mornings and evenings, with some weekend work for which time off in lieu is given)
Salary: £28,998.03 per annum (rising from year 2)
Place of work: L'Arche Bognor Regis
Contract type: Permanent, full-time

You may have experience in the following roles: Care Manager, House Manager, Learning Disability Team Leader, Autism Support Manager, Care Team Manager, Residential Home Manager, Support Manager, Service Manager, Learning Disability Service Manager, Community Support Manager, Social Care Team Leader, etc.
Main purpose of the role:
We are looking for a passionate and caring House Leader who will:
- Oversee a team of care and support workers who will provide high-quality support to people with learning disabilities in line with L’Arche values, policies and procedures.
- Provide supportive and enabling leadership modelling best practice and in line with the Health and Social Care Standards and CQC.
- Plan and organise the safe delivery of all support and care for core members by the team of care and support workers providing the supported living and/or care at home service.
- Provide person-centred care and support to people with learning disabilities and enable them to lead the lifestyle of their choice.
- Ensure person-centred support is delivered in a way to promote independence, social engagement and wellbeing (including spiritual needs where applicable).
- Ensure appropriate recording of incidents, near misses, accidents and medication and core members’ finances are administered in accordance with L’Arche policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the Registered Manager in actions to resolve more serious issues and to deliver improvements.
- Undertake regular team meetings, supervision, probation and appraisal meetings and also participation in recruitment short-listing, interviews and induction of new support workers.
- Be responsible for ensuring support plans and risk assessments are reviewed regularly.
