Housing Coordinator, L'Arche Manchester
ABOUT THE ROLE
Hours of work: 15 hours per week
Salary: £26,806.42 FTE - £10,722.57 (pro-rata) per year
Place of work: L’Arche Community - St Paul’s office (Manchester)
Contract type: Part-time. Maternity cover approx. 12 months
Closing date: Sunday, 8th March at midnight
Notes: This position does not offer sponsorship and is best suited for a candidate already located in the Manchester area.
Main purpose of the role
The primary role of the Housing Coordinator is to provide effective housing and tenancy management to a defined portfolio of properties at L’Arche and work with colleagues across UK communities and the National Housing Team to share best practice, support compliance with Health & Safety and housing requirements, identify property risks, and assist tenants in managing utilities and services.
Property Maintenance
You will:
- Identify any day-to-day repairs within the property portfolio, and arrange for the repairs to be completed, using economies of scale when engaging contractors on day rates.
- Monitor any repairs reported to landlords and ensure they are completed within the Landlord’s Service Level Agreement.
- Work in partnership with any contractors, taking responsibility for Core Member welfare and Health and safety whilst minor and major works are undertaken.
Income and Tenancy Management
You will:
- Work alongside the Registered Manager to maximise rental income by advising core members if they are in arrears with core rent/service charges and ineligible charges, and set up payment plans.
- Take responsibility for new core members signing their tenancy agreement and provide them with information on their rights and responsibilities
- Support tenants in the management of their utilities and services in their property.
